Audio Devices under Xp Remote Desktop

Hi all

I'm sure this one has been asked,- and answered before, but I cant' figure
it out anyway.

I´'m using Remote Desktop to remotely access a WinXp PC from a Win2k PC.
Everything is working fine except the audio device on the remote PC (Xp).
Whenever I log onto the remote PC via. Remote Desktop, the Audio Device is
missing (at least thats what Media PLayer is saying). When logging in
directly at the remote PC => no problems !

What I want to do is to leave the audio at the remote PC, and use this WinXp
PC as a remotely controlled jukebox ?

Any idea of what could cause this problem ?

Also....Is it possible to log onto a remote PC using Remote Desktop, without
having to give in a password
?

Best regards

This is a known bug with Remote Desktop that may be fixed in future
service packs... The workaround is to start media player before you
connect via Remote Desktop...

Sorry, but can you explain how this is done?
I'm not sure on how to start an application before I actually log in to the
remote PC ?

You just need to start Media player (or some other audio applet) on
the XP machine (for instance, add it to your startup group and
minimize it when you don't need it) and let it keep running.. If you
try to RD into the machine with Media player started, your sound
hardware will still be available for use.
