Audio Clip in PowerPoint Presentation

S

Surkhab

Hi,

I have inserted .wav audio clips using the 'insert clip' function in
powerpoint. The .wav audio files are from Clip Organizer. The problem is that
the audio clips do not play when I reopen the same presentation. Please do
note that I am opening this particular presentation on the same computer
where I created it in the first place. So, I am not sure what is wrong.

Any suggestions/thoughts?

Thank you.

Have you " moved " that clip to a different folder ?
I found out that the audio file is not " embedded " in the presentation,
just " linked ". If you move the file from it's original destination, audio
file won't play because it cannot find the source.

I am having the same problem and have not moved any files. I can rerun the
slideshow without closing the file and the first time will work then the next
it will not.

Keeping your movie clips or sound files in the same folder as your
presentation ensures the link will still work.
You should always test the movie on a new machine just to be
certain. Re-insert the movie, if necessary.
After check it out, then the sound can't playing well at the some
time,
you can delete the music file and then insert it again.

P.S.This will not be possible if you are downloading music from the
Apple iTunes service. If you have downloaded music from Apple istore
you will first need to convert them to mp3 format
http://www.bpurcell.org/blog/index.cfm?mode=entry&entry=1036)
You will also need to make sure that you have all of the copyright
permissions and performing rights clearances to be able to store the
music in your presentation.

On the other hand, you can convert the PowerPoint presentation to
video using
PPT to Video Converter:
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/ppt-to-video-overview.html
No sound or any other effect gets lost with both converters. Then
email the video presentation or put it on YouTube so that they can
share.
