Audio background/forground

I have a song which starts up when you open the page and repeats throughout
the period of time the visitor stays on the page. However, on the same page I
have a hyperlink to a speech. When the visitor clicks on the hyperlink to
play the speech, the background music shuts down.

Is there any way to set things up so that the speech is given while the
background music is playing.

if, when you say the visitor clicks on the hyperlink for the speech, and that
is going to another page, you would need to be using frames to keep the
window open that has that background sound

Of course, I would not recommend the background sound or frames.
