So what is this all about? You only have two choices - block or allow, and
when you try to block it, it says it can't be blocked. If you go ahead and
allow it, every time you restart AOL a new one pops up, sometimes two or
three or four. It says it's a driver for AOL. Maybe it's ok but why do we
have to waste our time dealing with it?

I had this same problem and did a search and found a place that said this was
the driver for the dialer but was not needed and you could rename the files
and put something like the word old on the end to stop this file. I found
three files with different extentions and renamed them all. It did not affect
the running of AOL even the dialer, I use cable broadband most of the time. I
found the files in C:>program files>common files>AOL>ACS.

I wouldn't block that driver. If you have a dialup AOL connection, it can
interfere with AOL ACS and mess you up. Just go into Defenders Tools>general
settings and uncheck notify when changes are made by allowed software. Then
you won't get that alert from Defender.

Either allow it every time so that you can sign in to AOL, OR in Defender's
tools go to General Settings and UNcheck notify of changes made by known
software. Then you won't get those pop up alerts about drivers that have
already been classified. If you need to, UNcheck notify of changes made by
unclassified software. Defender will still notify you of any changes made by
know threats, but you won't have the annoying popups about things like
this,that are not threats.
