For those of you that use Kaspersky AV Personal, you might be
interested to know that Wal- Mart now sells the Defender Pro 5 in 1
2005 suite for just $19.99, This consists of KAV personal,
WinOptimizer, Kaspersky Firewall, Pop-up Blocker and Anti-Spam
repackaged under the Defender Pro name at a considerable savings. I
bought the CD yesterday and couldn't be happier. Especially since KAV
Personal alone costs $41.00 USD.

Great! - But I wonder will kaspersky lab allow this. I'm sure in the
licensing agreement there is a clause not to undercut them by 300%.

You ever hear of a sale to unload product that's not selling? :>)

System Mechanic 5.0 includes as part of its packaged utilities Kaspersky
anti virus and their firewall. This Wal-Mart package plus the System
Mechanic 5.0 package must mean Kaspersky is either trying to get greater
exposure for its products or they are in need of cash.

I have three days left of a three month trial of PC-Cillin. I have been
thinking of getting Kaspersky but don't know which one is best? Can I buy
the Defender Pro 5 in 1 2005 suite for just $19.99 in Scotland?

I think it's a great move. Kaspersky is still not well known (at least in
the U.S.) among the average computer user. It's a product you either have
to be familiar with already or something suggested by another techie guy
that likes it.

By sticking it on the shelf at Walmart, it immediately becomes one of the
leading name brands for antivirus. And as many Walmart shoppers do, they
will buy it because it's cheaper than Symantec and McAfee.

If there is a Wal-Mart there you can. Otherwise, it's available online
if you Google for it. I don't know about the price, but I don't think
it varies much.

And that's a very GOOD THING to have happen!
