We're using Outlook 2000 with Exchange 2003. One of the staff tried to set
up a meeting in January, but when she looked at the attendee availablility
for Januray, all users had hash marks rather than the normal color coding of
their availability. The attendees all have appointments in their calendars
and they showed up to 12/31/05. Why would they not show starting 2006?

Because the default is to only publish 2 months of Free/Busy information.
You need to go to the users, Outlook | Tools | Options | Calendar Options |
Free/Busy Options and increase that setting if you want more published.

Note that if you do that it will slightly increase your network traffic with
the increased replication load, but it probably won't be a big deal.
