My office recently upgraded from a POP email account to a hosted Exchange
account. Since the switch everyone has been periodically recieving an error
saying that Outlook 2007 is attempting to contact the Exchange server. It
will continue to say this until you right click the Outlook icon in the tray
and tell it to cancel server request. It usually happens when we try to send
an email, but occasionally it happens for no apparent reason. There is a mix
of XP SP2 and Vista computers that are all experiencing the problem. I am
able to ping the Exchange server without any problems. Also, our ISP and the
company hosting our email have been unable to find a solution. Any
suggestions would be helpful.
