attatchment problem

I am having a problem sending word doc. as attachments.
recipients are receiving the word files as a winmail.dat
file. I can send the same file in outlook express with
no problems. Any ideas what could cause this? Using
Windows 2000 and Office 2000.

I think I had similar problem in the past, it is something
to do with the setting of your attachment format. Try
exploring tools options and attachment sending/encoding
option

try changing your email format to Plain Text (preferred) or HTML and see if
that makes a difference.
