I am new at this, so, to all, please be patient with me.
The problem I am having is,I recieved an important email
with an attachment, but can not access the attachment at
all, because I recieved the following message "OE removed
access to the following unsafe attachments in your
mail:12436_CH222-47720.pdf. My question is, how do I get
past this?

My guess would be your virus protection software is
thinking it's a virus due to the very strange and random
file name. (Although I didn't think a pdf file was virus
prone). Anyway, perhaps the sender could rename the file
and/or put it in a zip file. This seems to be the same
message I receive when someone sends me a executable
file. It's really a pain in the butt when I actually
NEED the file and it's not a virus. As far as how to
disable this lovely feature (if you can), I'm not
familiar with OE, so maybe someone else will better be
able to help.

Good luck!

you need to have the sender rename the file and resend it.
changes are the file was filename.EXE the exe file will
get blocked have the sender change the file
to "filename.ex_" and then you should be able to recieve
the file and chenge the extention your self if you believe
the file to be safe.

good luck

Simply renaming the file most likely will not help. I
tried to send small program to someone I know. Their
server still recognizez there is executable program inside
the file and removes it even after I not only renamed bat
also archived it (winRar). Annoying, but you gotta use
other means of sending. May try yahoo's briefcase
feature...

And I'd say you're wrong. Outlook Express (which the OP said was the
program) blocks all attachments unless one enables them via the
Tools>Options>Security tab.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup. (Hint: Tools>Options>Security)
