Greetings all,

Sometimes I attach files and send the email using Microsoft Outlook 2002
(Office XP). The receipient receives the attachment(s) as 1 file called
"winmail.dat".

When I send the same but from the HTML web-based interface .. it works fine
which means there's something wrong with Outlook.

Note: I'm also using Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition v9.0 which I notice
that it scans all outgoing emails.

any idea?

Thanks

Make sure you use HTML or Plain Text format when sending messages to users of
any other e-mail client besides Outlook. Don't use Rich Text format, which
is proprietary to Outlook and will cause problems for other recipients --
they may get the winmail.dat attachment and they probably won't get any
legitimate attachments you send.
