Attachments Don't Open in Word From A Certain Sender

I get email regularly from a certain individual, but the attachments from her
always attempt to open in Word but only rarely do. I have tried to open
these attachments in all other programs on my computer. I have tried saving
them to disk and then reopening; this does not work. Her mail is usually
forwarded thru Yahoo mail. She does not use Outlook because I am able to
open Outlook messages. Any suggestions? I have this problem only with her
email. I do not have it with any other. What could she be doing?

Always save to the hard drive and open from there - but are you sure these
are Word documents she is sending? If they are ask her to zip them (for
which she'll need a zip utility eg Winzip) and send them, sometimes Word
documents become corrupt in transit.
