attachments below the subject line instead of in the email body

How do you get attachments to show up below the Subject line under
Attachments: instead of having them as embedded icons in the body of the
email message?
 
What version of Outlook are you on? When using 2002, if you are using HTML,
it will put the attachment in one place and plain text will put it in the
other.

Switch your message format to either plain text or HTML, not Rich Text
format.
