Outlook is removing pdf and .doc attachments from emails
that others forward to me. If those same attachments are
sent direct from the sender (not forwarded from someone
else) the attachment is successfully received by
Outlook. Is there some security feature in Outlook I
need to turn off to keep it from stripping the forwarded
attachment off?

Are you seeing any messages about attachments at all? It's unlikely to be
your Outlook from what I can see - more likely to do with the sender doing
the forward. In their sent items, do they see the attachments?

Just to add to this, you may want to find out what
version of Outlook the other guy is using and if they
use Word as their editor. If so, What version of
Word are they using.

Also if there is an Exchange Server being used by
either of you, are you using OWA (outlook web access)
for any of this email?

What version of Outlook do you use?

There are no error messages being issued.
The sender email address has the email with the
attachment in the sent items folder. So it appears the
attachment is being sent. I confirmed that by having the
sender forward the email and attachment to my wife's PC
running Outlook Express and she receives it fine. That
points it back to being my Outlook removing the
attachment.
Any other suggestions on where to look?
