Attachment header line does not appear when I add attachments

When I add an attachment to an email message in Outlook 2003 a blank box is
inserted into the body of my email where the cursor is located. The
attachment header line does not appear on my email, and since I only see a
blank box in the body of my email message I don't what items have been
attached (when I am attaching more than one item).
The attachments are sent when I send the email message, but I would like to
have the list of attachments appear in an attachment header line at the top
of the email message when I send them so that I can identify which items I
have attached.

Watch your message format. (Rich Text, attachments in body of message.
Plain Text/HTML end up with the attachment box just below the subject line.)
