Attach file to draft message

B

Bob Brannon

Hello,

I just switched from OE6 to Outlook 2007. In OE6 one could attach a file to
a draft message. I do not see that option in Outlook. It appears one can
only attach a file to a NEW message. Can someone tell me how I might attach
a file to a draft message?

To Outlook, all unsent messages work the same, whether they are drafts or completely new messages (or replies or forwards). The Attach File command should be available in the Include group on the Message tab of the ribbon, as well as on the Insert tab.

These are drafts that I imported from OE6. When I open them in Outlook the
only tab present is the Message Tab and it does not have an Include Group on
it anywhere, for any of the messages in this draft folder, unless I saved
them as drafts in Outlook. Can I do anything here?

Try this:

1) Choose Other Actions | Resend This Message.

2) Close and save the new item that appears.

3) Open the item you just created.

4) Delete the original imported item.

Obviously, you can skip Step 2 if your goal is simply to send the draft.

In the future, please remember that data that originates from outside Outlook may behave differently from data created natively in Outlook and include such details in your post.
