attach camcorder problem

Can I attach a Sanyo camcorder directly to AIW card? My a/v to coax adaptor
was working well but I broke it and I can't find a replacemet. The
camcorder (VM-D6) output is a female 8 pin and may be propriety for Sanyo.
I would like the corresponding male connector to connect to the inputs on
the ATI card or the purple cable (rca and video). Is there such a
connector?

I tried using the output wire with the 8 pin male connector cable that comes
with the ATI card to accomplish the above. It fit into the camcorder. I
connected the video portion to the purple cable but got no signal. Are the
formats incompatible?

He said "Sanyo", not "Sony". Sanyo does not appear to offer direct
sales of components--they do on their site list parts distributers and
service centers--if the part number can be identified then contacting
one of them would probably be the best bet.

FWIW, Sony camcorders (at least the ones I've used) use standard video
cables.
