attach a file - receiver gets it zipped!! why?

When I send an attachment to one or more e-mail addresses
they receive the file as zipped.
Is there some kind of outlook setting or a winzips setting.
I have winzip 8.0 and winrar installed on my computer.
Anyone can help?

There are a few add-ins that can do this. Zipout is one. I think Winzip also
has the ability.
