Hi
I had this small problem, that was my Radeon X800XT would only display 1920
X 1080 @60Hz 32 bits.
My monitor is a BenQ FP231W, with a native resolution of 1920 X 1200.
What I did was to put the PC in "sleep" mode, and after "wake-up" the
display change by itself to 1920 X 1200, although the refresh rate dropped
to 59Hz, still 32bits.
I tried a few times and worked everytime.
My pictures look better (natural) now, and I can't notice the slight drop in
refresh rate.
Might work for somebody...

LCD didplays pixels do not flicker due to low refresh rate since the don't
use phosphers that decay rapidly like a CRT display. They just keep
displaying the same color till told to change.
