ATI X800 Graphics Card

Hi, I'm looking to buy a powerful graphics card for gaming. I'm tempted with
the ATI X800 but there are quite a few different models, Pro version, XT and
XT Platinum Edition. Also many companies like MSI, Saphire, Asus, Connect3D,
Gigabtye, HIS, Powercolor etc use the ATI chipset. Should I stick with the
ATI brand or go with these other board makers, do they have any limitations?

Thanks,
Gareth

The X800PRO has 12 Pipelines and runs at lower clocks than the XT or XT PE.
XT and XT PE(Platinum Edition) both have 16 Pipelines but XT has
slightly lower clocks.
Brand makers usually use the ATI reference design and in that case they
don't differ much from the original ATI card. But they can also decide to
put some inovative cooling design or/and add a capturing chip to add the
VIVO function. In both cases those cards are of excellent quality but
with different brands you will get different bundles and higher/slower
clock speeds on the card.
