ATI Software error code after reformatting harddrive with XP home

Reformatted computer totally. Now trying to load video
driver for ATI 128MB DDR Radeon 9700 Tx with TV-OUT Rev:
A00-00.

I tried from my resources disk and also downloading
driver from ATI. Everything works great and files unzip
and then gets to last stage and message pops up:

ATI Software
Setup failed to run installation: (OX80040707)

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get around
this and what the problem actually is.

Any help greatly appreciated, Frank

Unistall any driver of your ATI graphics card.
Install DirectX 8 or 9
Install the drivers for your ATI , you can try to install
only drivers for your ATI , dont install the full
software.
enjoy :)

The "enjoy post" is wrong,1.if direct X is installed,
dont re-install,drivers dont control directX.2.ATI
specifically says to install all 4 drivers at one time,
w/o rebooting after each.First though, you need to un-
install the current display adapter in device mgr, close
out,reboot,on desktop,with card installed now,install
the drivers/software,if the machine wont boot to xp,
shut-down,on starting tap the F8 key,select,start xp
in safe-mode with networking, install ATI software now.
