ATI Radeon X850XT AGP power requirements questions

Greetings alt.comp.periphs.videocards.ati Newsgroup.

I am considering purchasing the ATI Radeon X850XT AGP that is listed
here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102570
and the Antec LifeStyle SONATA II case that is listed here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811129155

The questions that I have concerning the power requirements of the ATI
Radeon X850XT AGP are:

1) Does the PSU that comes with the Antec LifeStyle SONATA II case have
sufficient power for the ATI Radeon X850XT AGP?

2) Has anyone here had any direct experience (positive, negative or
neutral) with the PSU that comes with that particular case (listed
here: http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=26450).

I know that this is an ATI videocard NG and not a PSU NG, but I thought
that I could "kill two birds with one stone" in asking about the Antec
PSU since it would be used to fulfil the power requirements of the
X850XT

Thanks very much in advance for comments.

I had similar concerns as I bought an emachine (AMD 3200+) with a
300watt PSU. Having read a few messages here about PSUs, I had the
confidence to buy an X850XT PCI-E and it works fine. I think its
running cooler than the x700 Super it replaced, which makes some sense
as it has a much bigger fan that takes up another slot.

I did have some challenges trying to OC it, but I think it might be
doable if I get a better case fan.

The specs on the Antec look fine.

Its a fine card. My 3dMark05 went from 2100 (x700 super slightly OC'd)
to 6100 (stock).

I have the sonata and the weaker ps in the slk3700 and it runs an
xp3700@2700mhz and xt850 no problem.

This article gives a power measurement on the X800XT-PE, with a breakdown of
the current draw on each voltage rail. The X800XT is very similar to the
X850XT.

I got a 400 W version of that PSU you are eyeing. It can feed a X1900XT
without problems.
I run an X800 XT PE on a Antec 430w, no problem. I do use a third
party cooler as the stock cooler was worthless, temps over 80C in a well
cooled case in a reasonably cool room 72 F. The Arctic Cooling ATI
Silencer 5 brought them down to < 50 C during gaming. Usually just over
40 C believe it or not. The power supply you are looking at should be
fine, if you do not use a lot of other devices. What else are you going
to install ?
