ATI Radeon 9550...

I have installed RC2 as a clean install (no upgrade). I have downloaded and
installed the RC1 drivers for my 9550 video card, as those are the only ones
I can find from ATI. Vista still tells me...
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

I have tried using the drivers that Vista found on it own, with the same
problem.

Is anyone running a 9550 with RC2? What drivers are you running? Any links
to drivers that I can try?

Thanks,

Clint

Everything is working fine here.

That is not what I wanted to hear. I don't want to be the only one having
problems. Misery Loves Company :)

I will remove everything and see if I can get it going.

Could you check your Device Manger and tell me what the Driver Provider,
Date and Version are set at?

Thanks,

Clint, what motherboard do you have? I have heard that the Code 43 error is
actually caused by the Processor to AGP Controller on the motherboard, and
not by the graphics card itself. Someone did post a while back that by
installing the motherboard chipset drivers (.inf) their Code 43 error
disappeared.

ATI said do not use there drivers for RC2 they do not use the one in RC2 DVD.
ATI has new drivers coming out soon.
Check with ATI

ATI says not to use the drivers on their site with RC2. The drivers in RC2
are newer. They will be releasing RC2 drivers soon. I have a 9550 and have
always just used the drivers that came with whatever version I was loading.
Every time I tried the drivers available on ATI's site I had problems. Since
Beta 2 back in June I haven't had any problems with the built in drivers.
