ATI Mobility drivers

Hi, all!
Please help me to deside my question. The question is it recomended to
istall new driver for my ATI Mobilyty Radeon
M6 video card wich could be downloaded from Microsoft Windows Update Site.
The offer to do it is appeared during procedure of
Windows Update from Help and Support center. In this menu is an information
about new version of driver:
"ATI Technologies Inc. display software update released on March 30 2003.
Download size: 3.8 MB, 8 minutes"
supported video cards:

MOBILITY RADEON
MOBILITY RADEON
MOBILITY RADEON
MOBILITY RADEON 7500
MOBILITY RADEON 7500
MOBILITY RADEON 7500
MOBILITY RADEON 7500
MOBILITY RADEON 9000
RADEON IGP 340M

But on the HP site, in the section "Download Software & Drivers", there is
no any info about new drivers for video in my
Laptop Compaq Presario 2700 EA. After trying to install driver from
Microsoft Windows Update, the screen menu for tunning of
the display is changed, in the part "ádvanced" disappeared Bookmarks with
ATI options, and I don't know how to send the video
picture via S-video out to the TV, only functions "Expand the screen to the
second Monitor" is working. After installing
"old" drivers back, I have all previous function, and could select primary &
secondary display. May be you know which driver
is preferably, and if it will be new version from Microsoft site, how could
I manage to displays- Laptop screen & TV screen.
Thanks in advance.
Gary Marinero.

Personally having had probs using drivers from Winupdate, I would only use
drivers from Hardware manufacturers site.

Hi,

The drivers from MS update site is only the generic drivers. Unless you cannot get any XP compatible drivers from the manufactuer's website, otherwise don't update it from MS.
