ATI Fire GL T2 128 Output Component Video

Hi;

I am setting up a home theater PC and was hoping to get it to output
component (Yr Pr Br) video. I know there is a dongle from ATI to do this
but is there a way to force it to output this via the DVI connector? I have
a cable that does VGA--> Yr Pr Br but can't find in the registry where to
fore the DVI port to output this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks;
Steve

What you're looking for is actually "YPbPr" video, which
means you have the luminance (Y) and two color-difference
signals (Y-R and Y-B). If your TV or monitor will accept it,
you are better off leaving the video in RGB form in either
digital or analog outputs.

The ATI Fire GL T2 apparently does support the YPbPr
form of output; there are DVI to component adapter cables
available as well. Typically, the Y signal is carried on the
green line, and the Pb and Pr on blue and red, respectively.
