ATI Catalyst 6.12 is out, why is the x1950 pro not supported?

I do not understand this. Their has been two updates to the Catalyst
drivers since I have purchased my ATI x1950 pro. But I still am not
included in the supported boards for these updates. Why?

I have looked at the Catalyst software info panel and noted that it states
that I am currently running 2D Driver Version 6.14.10.6635, which is two
more versions away from what ATI is offering on its website, which leave me
wonder what is going on????

I feel like I am missing updates to the drivers that are improving the
performance of the video boards. Am I????????

What's going on????

When will ATI offer update drivers for the x1950 pro? Why is it different
than all the others? Don't we need updates too?

So you can't install these new drivers? That is strange. I read awhile back
about the fact that new owners of the x1950 should only install the drivers
that come with their board, but I figured that this had been fixed by now. I
won't worry to much, your card is running great right? ATI should get this
fixed soon I would think. Have you tried e-mailing support and seeing what
they say? I know that ATI support can be a joke, but it's worth a try. JLC

Huh? It lists support for the x1950 right on the web page.

What are you going on about?

X1950 series has been officially supported since Cat 6.11. Maybe the "Pro"
version is special cased... Hmmm...

Yes unlike the other 1950 series cards which use theR580+ ASIC it is built
on the RV570XT ASIC.
Performance wise it falls within the 1900 series.

Well, I have the MSI version of x1950 pro and Catalyst 6.12 works fine
with it.
It installed driver package 8.321 including 2D driver version
6.14.10.6652.

That's what I've got. 2D, 3D and OpenGL are 6.14 from the original x1950
pro CD. Two updates ahead of where ATI's web site is in version number.
Then CCC is at 6.12, the current version available after installing it.

Even though the 2D/3D version has 6.14 on it, it has not been updated in the
last two months as CCC has. I suppose once ATI has reached 6.15, we may have
updates for the 2D/3D drivers for this card.
