ATI 9600 Pro AIW - TV Freeze after upgrade...

Vigor

I upgraded my CPU in my pc and motherboard... I had hoped I would not have
to reinstall XP... I have everything working except for the TV on the AIW...
it opens, shows the initial channels frame and locks on that - I get full
sound and when I change channels I get the top gray overlay showing the new
channel and that channels sound... I never get a 'full/on-going' tv
picture...

DVD works, I can play avi/dvds with the file player.

I suspect it is something with the new MB Bios settings - I tried all of
them though... I am using the MSI K8N Neo2 Plat board.. has anyone gotten
the AIW working with it and any suggestions on how to proceed... I have
played with the bios AGP, etc settings...

Using latest CAT's and MMC.

Appreciate any help,
Thanks. Doug

If using version MMC 9.08 uninstall that suite and download, install version
MMC 9.06.1.

"MMC 9.08" has tons of bugs. ATI has to release a newer version of MMC very
soon, last update 5/17/2005.

Should I uninstall the WMD driver as well? What bugs me is that I have had
it working on an nForce2 mb for two years... something in the new MB is
conflicting with the card...

I noticed today one other app that was having problems... Cursor XP... it
gets XP memory protection errors the minute it start up - forcing me to
reboot... the two have to be related!

Thank you for taking time to help - I will probably wait a couple of weeks
and try the new mmc and see how that goes.. I don't use it too much but it
bugs me that it is not working.

Only uninstall the "WMD" if your having ATI driver problems.

Cursor XP is a 3rd party program, if thats giving you problems forcing you
to reboot, uninstall the program.
