Think Computers review the ASUS Xonar Xense Premium Gaming Audio Set, a high end gaming soundcard:

When you first see the ASUS Xonar Xense’s EMI shield, you get a sense that this isn’t an ordinary soundcard. The non-ironic conclusion is, you’re right. ASUS has put together another great soundcard and bundled it with a great pair of headphones, the Sennheiser PC350 Xense Edition. The Xonar Xense offers a myriad of inputs and outputs, and can chug out high definition audio up to 192kHz/24bit without breaking a sweat. It easily is one of the coolest pieces of hardware you can add to your rig. Need more convincing? Continue reading to check out all of the details of the ASUS Xonar Xen

Ah, but does it work with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3?

Bearing in mind that previous offerings from Asus in the sound card department did not.

I wonder how I could find out?

I'll stick with my Auzentech prelude which cost the same money.

Yeah I remember the huge problems you had - seems mad that a modern soundcard could still have compatibility problems!

I'd be interested to see how this one does, but I'd have to assume that it surely must be fixed by now. Crazy if not!

Crazy indeed.

I should imagine they've sorted it. Or have they

I will repeat my observation that the Asus Xonar sound card I owned briefly was an extremely nice sounding sound card and a very good product. Apart, of course, from that glitch.

I'll also repeat that when I submitted a review of the card to OCUK saying exactly what I've mentioned here, they chose not to publish my review.

Which to my mind proves OCUK place more importance on shifting flawed stock than guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

Sorry to be negative but folks should be aware of these things when considering a relatively expensive purchase.
