ASUS P4P800 MB and ATI 9500 Pro Compatibility

Great!

I go and buy a new ASUS motherboard and tucked away on one of the pages it
says that use only the card version PN XXX-XXXXX-30 or later for optimum
performance and overclocking stability. When I checked my ATI Radeon Pro it
was a PN-109-A05600-00 so I guess it is one of the problem cards. That's
what I get for buying at the (b)leading edge. :-(

My question is has anyone used this card with this range of serial number
with this motherboard and been able to overclock it successfully?

Well.....

Similar setup as yours. P4P800 deluxe with a 9700pro. I notice this same
comments in the manual after I purchased the video card used and it is a PN
XXX-XXXXX-11. So far no problems! I think the manual says they "recommend"
the -30 card. Keep in mind I haven't OC'd this card yet, and probably wont
since I'm running a 3.06 gig cpu.

Hope that helps a little anyway....
