ASUS notebook - no soundcard visible

I've just bought new notebook ASUS A6JA-Q006, installed WinXP and the
trouble is there is no sound. No soundcard visible in "device manager".
Nothing to turn it on in BIOS. Sound card is integrated (Intel High
Definition Audio compatibile). There is some simple sound when I turn the
notebook on, but that's all.

you may have to load up some drivers.........

Done , simply there were some more sound drivers to instal... weird... I
wold never guess that these are sound drivers (nothing saying name) after I
had installed some (called "sound drivers") already... Sory to bother you.
