Hi, I have an Asus P4B266 motherboard with a 2GHz processor and 512Mb ram
running XP. The video card is an ATI Radeon 9000. This computer basically
works flawlessly and has for the 2 years I've used it. However, in the last
month or so I've noticed a random beeping coming from case speaker. There is
no pattern to it whatsoever. It can be a beep here and there, or one beep
and a little while later a couple of beeps of a different tone. It does not
happen a lot, but enough to make me wonder what the problem could be, even
though the computer works fine. I tend not to think it's a heat problem,
because the beeps can occur when I'm not even using the computer. I've tried
taxing the processor to see if I can create the beeps, but doing that does
not cause them. Thanks so much for any help.
