ASUS A8N-SLI..can't get SLI working

B

Brent Wahl

I made the mistake of trying to install the Nvidia Video drivers thinking it
would enable SLI but that didn't work.

I thought that maybe installing the NForce4 drivers would help but the
drivers do not have a Setup.exe and when I look at the folders I see no
*.inf files to try to use the the device manager to update of drivers.

I really want to get SLI enabled so I can see if it improves my performance
score.

Any suggestions on how SLI is enabled in VISTA?

Thanks

Brent

AFAIK, there is no way to get SLI support under Vista yet. If you look at
the NVidia drivers, they have not enabled most of the single card features
yet, let along SLI. The nFocre drivers also are missing a ton of
functionality.

Hard to believe Microsoft would not have already addressed that issue this
far along the Beta trail.

Oh Well.....

Now to get my printer working..LOL

It isn't Microsoft, it is Nvidia.
Why should they be worried about having SLi available for the Beta 2? The OS
does not ship for at least 6 months, and while this beta was openend up to
the public, it still is geared for those that are using the beta to get a
head start on IT knowlege, not gaming.

Many companies do not even have basic drivers yet....
