asus a7n8x-x fan connections??

Just recently hooked together an Asus a7n8x-x motherboard (and AMD Xp2500
cpu) with a 420 watt Thermaltake (smart) PurePowerpower supply.

Question: The Asus manual refers to 3 onboard sockets for monitoring CPU,
Case(chassis), and Power supply fans. I can only find two fan monitoring
sockets on this board. Is the manual generic to other models of MB's or do
I need new glasses?
In the meanwhile I have connected the CPU fan up and the Power supply fan
monitoring lead (figuring that was the most important). But I would also
like to monitor the case fans too.

Ideas?

Your manual will also show you where they are.

The downloadable PDF version of the manual I have in my collection
here, refers to CPU_FAN1 and CHA_FAN1 headers on the motherboard.
That is on page 25 (= 1-15). There is also a two pin PWRTMP1
header mentioned on page 27 (= 1-17). If your power supply has a
power temp two wire connection, with a two pin header on it, that
can be connected to PWRTMP1.

If you look in a A7N8X Deluxe manual, a PWR_FAN1 and CHA_FAN1 header
are next to one another. It looks like the PWR_FAN1 was removed
for the A7N8X-X.

The manuals aren't necessarily generic, but perhaps that section
of the manual got updated in the downloadable one.

Hey Jack,
The CPU fan connector is located near the edge of the motherboard
close to the RAM slots and just a couple of inches from the CPU
socket.

I think Paul has it. I yanked the panel off and rechecked/compared the mb.
Looks like the manual was not up-to-date with this mb. It was ommitted:
just 2 sensors - cpu and case. That's where I'm putting my case fans
...leaving off the ps fan lead. The ps has its own "smart" system built in
...just can't onscreen monitor is all.

Thanks for your input guys.
