Ever since I installed XP SP 2 (probably a bad mistake) I
have not been able to network my PC to Laptops via a
crossover cable nor can I accept incoming DCC's via IRC.
Connections fail.. Yes the Windows Firewall is running..
I want to find a better firewall, but I havn't begun my
research. I also am using Norton Antivirus 2005 beta..
(probably another mistake). Would like to figure out why
I can't network my PC with Laptops, and why I can accept
incoming DCC's.

Networking - computers don't see each other.. workgroup is
the same, both computers rebooted, folders shared.

DCC's - Just get connection failed.. turned off firewall
and norton, still fails..

You need to take this to the XP SP2 support area for assistance.

No kidding? Tell you what, you go through every possible
link on that site and let me know if you find a decent
area for a remotely close resolution.. and I tell you
what.. If the answer is there.. i'll gladly go play in
traffic. Thanks again! "Richard" !

Well, I'll tell ya what ... go ahead and hang out here and see if someone
answers your question. I'm betting not - because this isn't where the folks
running SP2 are hanging out at the present time. They're all over in the
SP2 beta groups.

Sorry you don't like the answer but it's the best one there is.
