Assigning a drive letter to a camera memory card

My computer recognizes the memory card in my Minolta
digital camera but will not assign a drive letter. How
do I arrange for a drive letter?
 
Did you install the drivers for the camera Len?
(If they came on CD)?

Some cameras still need drivers installed,
BUT XP may or may not assign a drive
letter to it.

On some tho, I dont think it will necessarily
assign a drive for you. I got a digital camera
a few weeks ago. Installed the drivers for it.

I dont think my XP assigned a drive letter to
it either. BUT most programs will let you use
it if it's linked up to the PC.

It wasn't until I got a USB2 card reader
(internal) that XP detected it as a Mass USB
storage device, and assigned 4 drive letters
to the card reader (It's a 7-1 card reader)
so I could see what was on the card, when
I put it in one of the slots on the card reader.
