When I put a memory stick in my USB port, windows recognizes it, but no drive
letter will be given to it. So I cant acces my memory cards anymore.

I heard this was a problem with assigning a drive letter to a USB memory
stick, but I dont know where I should do it.

Funny thing is that my external HD works via USB.

With the stick plugged in right click on "my compuer" and select "manage"
then select "disk management". From there you can assign a letter that can
be used by your memory stick. (select a different letter to the USB drive)
