Assigning a button to play the Movie clip in PowerPoint

Can someone please help me!!

I want to assign an action button that will play the movie in the same slide
when pressed.

I do understand that when we insert a movie or sound PowerPoint asks if you
want to play it automatically or when on Click. I want it to play only when
I click on the button.

I know that I can assign the action setting of teh action button called
hyperlinking to open a file. But by doing this it is opening the movie file
in Windows media. I want to remain in Powerpoint !!

I hope it makes sense and someone can get back to me ASAP.

DO I Need a Macro or VBA understanding to do this???

Kindest Regards

Raja,
Insert your video on the slide.
When the question pops up choose on click.
Draw an object or use an action button whatever suits you best.
Right-click the video and choose Custom Animation.
In the Custom Animation task pane, click Add Effect button, then choose
Movie Actions, Play.
Double click the animation for play in the animation task pane. Click on the
timing tab.
Choose the triggers button.
Next to Start effect on click of choose the listarrow and click on the
object you have drawn or the action button you chose.
Click OK.
