ASR Floppy

I order to create the ASR disk, I had to 1st backup my entire machine to a
2nd HD (Almost 3GB of data) then an ASR floppy was created.

Do I need to keep the 2GB ASR backup for the floppy to work or can I delete
it?

I would not see why not, That floppy basically tells it
where to look for the backup.

I am answering my own question here but if the Floppy is telling where to
look for the backup and the backup is gone, what will it restore
from...sounds like I do need it.
