Aspnet_state.exe-Application Error

Can someone give me a hand I have had this error message for awhile. I wrote
of couple of times with no luck. I did get a feedback to check a couple of
links from S.Sengupta[MS-MVP],
http://aumha.org/win5/a/shtdwnxp.htm &
http://www.file.net/process/aspnet_state.exe.html
but they did not work.
The message is:
Aspnet_state.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x6a2a2fec" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.
Now when I shut down it gets stuck on a screen that says Windows is shutting
down...
I have left it for 3 hours and still there. I used to shut it down by hand
and restart it. Now when I restart it, it goes to a black screen after
checking everything I was checking buttons and either F8 or F9 got XP back.
Anybody have any ideas, running out of patience on this end, ever seen a PC
fly out the window?

aspnet_state.exe is part of .NET Framework.

If you do not need .NET Framework for anything, uninstall it.

Have you tried taking the ASP.NET State Service, stopping it, and
setting it to Manual (instead of Automatic) to see if the error would go
away? I had the exact same issue suddenly crop up a few days ago,
although my system would still turn off after the error appeared.
