ASP vs Data Access Pages

Which is the best way create an internet website using Access database: ASP
or Data Access Pages?

I'm new to web page creation but I'd like to get into it. I've searched MS
on Data Access Page deployment and it appears to be complicated. I like using
Access's Page creation feature, but it appears to be difficult to get it onto
the internet (I've asked around and it seems to be difficult to get a host to
support Data Access Pages. Any comments?

It has been a very long time since I looked at DAP, but I believe that they
only work if the client has Office installed on their machine or at least
cetain components. Whereas using ASP or the current ASP.NET creates web
pages dynamically which can be displayed on pretty much any browser. My
opinion I formed in the past was DAP was really only usefull for a corporate
intranet rather than a public web site.

DAPs are very near their death now but ASP is not to far behind.

The futur (and present?) is ASP.NET but the learning curve is very step. If
you want an easier (but much less powerfull) way to begin, then go with ASP.
For DAP, forget about it if you want to go on the Internet (but it may be a
quick and dirty solution for some simple tasks on an *intranet*).
