ASP.NET user account -- what is this??

Sam

I am using Windows XP Pro on a dell notebook I went into
control panel then user accounts and noticed there is an
account called asp.net with limited access and password
protected is this a required account or is someone
accessing my system?
This account does not show up when I try to switch users.
Does anybody else have a ASP.NET account shown under user
accounts?
Thanks

It's a username installed by the .NET framework software.
