Asian Font Pack files missing?

Rhys

After a virus caused me to reformat my PC using a Packard
Bell Master Disk issued with my pc, after the successful
reinstall I found that the Asian fonts weren't installed
so I tried to install them through the control panel but
it came up with an error stating that it couldn't
find "msmincho.ttc" so I've assumed that all of the asian
font files are missing since the same happened with
Korean and Chinese font packs. Is there a way to restore
these files as it is imperitive that I am able to view
Asian text.

If the Asian fonts were already pre-installed by Packard Bell and you
have a PB master disk, it can be safely assumed that the fonts are on
the disk. Open Control Panel, select Regional and Language Options.

Now click on the Languages tab. Check the box that says:
"Install Files for East Asian Languages" and press OK. That should
install the fonts for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
