arrow along right hand side of e-mails is gone

I have somehow removed the arrow that goes down the right hand side of an
e-mail if there is more text than can be seen on one screen. It isonly been
removed if I am working in an e-mail that is a reply or forward. A normal
e-mail I draft works correctly. Can you help me determine what I have done
to make this happen? thank you, Lee

Then you'll need to tell us a whole lot more specifics about your mail
configuration. Always at least include your version of Outlook or even the
exact build number as mentioned in; Help-> About.
The message format you are using and whether you use Word or Outlook as the
e-mail editor is also important in this case.
If you could put up a screenshot somewhere that might also be helpful.

please explain VIEW better. I do not follow you. I understand the view tab
but when I click it I do not see anything related to word or e-mail. Please
