How do I remove vertical lines on left side of e-mails when forwar

I receive e-mails that contain vertical lines on the left side. When I
forward these e-mails I would like to delete these lines. So far I haven't
figured out how.

that the html version of > on replies and forwards. Go to tools, options,
email options and change the reply/forward format to include instead of
prefixing.
