Arranging Icons By Default

How do you make it such that whenever you go to Windows Explorer the icons
are arranged by Type? I always right click and select Arrange Icons By Type.
But the next time when I go in, it's not sorted again.
 
Have you tried while in WinExplorer>select Tools>Folder
Options>View>Folder Views-Apply to all folders.

It sounds like you're failing to do the most important thing, then:
Make sure "Auto arrange" is also checked, else it won't work the way
you want it to.
