arranging filenames

hey guys and girls ,

on winxp when i try to arrange files by filename that are
named by numbers ie. 123test.txt , 234test.txt its not
arranging it right .. i mean you will see 123test.text
and then right after it will be 345test.text and then
123test.txt ???

ex.

123test
456test
234test

shouldnt it be

123test
234test
456test

???

this is only on xp btw , i tried this on 98 and win2k and
its arranging it properly ..HELP ?

NO, it depends on the extension. TEXT comes before TXT.
WindowsXP lists numerical first, then alphabetical.
