Hi!

....I am lost! ...help! :)

I am starting an academic project to develop an application for Pocket PC,
which runs Windows Mobile 2003. Is there under windows mobile 2003 the core
of Windows CE 4.2 or later ?
What is Windows CE after all ?

In fact I want to know if all the features of Windows CE 4.2 like the RTC
API, the VoIP API, and all this cool stuff, is available or not in my Windows
Mobile 2003.

I find no precise info about what's in the windows mobile... where can i
find it out?

I am confused... i'd greatly appreciate your explanations! :)
Thanks!

Lionel,

Windows CE is a modular operating system on which Windows Mobile is based.
Windows Mobile devices will have some features, apps and DLLs that generic
Windows CE devices don't. and vice versa. The best reference for what
*might* be available on any given CE device (which will vary widely among
devices) and what *is* available on a Windows Mobile device (which is
standardized) is at msdn.microsoft.com.

Do you have the Pocket PC 2003 SDK? The documentation for this will indicate
which CE APIs are available on the platform (albeit with a few exceptions).
However I can confirm that the specific ones you mention (RTC and VoIP) are
not in Windows Mobile 2003.
