My colleague is trying to send me an email distribution list. she can send it
to someone with Outlook but I receive nothing when she goes through the same
process for me. I use outlook express. Is it possible?

I'm not sure what you mean by "trying to send me an email distribution
list". If your question is whether Outlook Express can receive messages
sent from Outlook, the answer is "yes".

Hi Jeff, She's trying to send me a email address/contacts list that she uses
on her computer so that I can use the same address list of people on mine. It
just doesn't come through to me although it can be received and used by
another person who just has Outlook and not Outlook Express. I just assumed
these two packages were completely compatable.

Do you mean that you don't get the message, or that somehow the message is
not readable?

I think that you may be mistaken here. Outlook will not run correctly
without Outlook Express installed, as Outlook uses some of OE's files.

In order for you to receive her DL and make sense of it, you'll probably
need Outlook as well. In Outlook, sending a DL results im more than just a
text list of addresses. It must be sent in Rich Text format in order to
arrive intact and usable by OL. OE simply can't read Outlook's Rich Text
messages.
