Hi folks,
I have two users who are running Outlook 2002 sp2 on XP boxes with sp1. Both
are laptop users and sync their network home directories with the laptop to
be able to work on them when they travel. Both are heavy users, 150M every 2
months.
I have set up archives .pst's for them on the Network drive.
Now everytime they logon or off they get syncronization errors from the
archives. Is there a way that I can turn off the setting to the folder that
holds the .pst. The goal would be to have every folder other than ..\Outlook
sync.
Thanks for your help, (what a novel)

Are you aware that this is unsupported and can lead to PST corruption?

Hello Brian,
No I was not aware that it was unsupported. It is this particular company's
practise to put the pst's on the network.

Just so I am clear, pst are supposed to be saved where ? It make no sense to
build an archive to live an a user's local drive, with +1000 users we don't
back up the local drives.

Save the PST(s) to a local drive and then regularly have the users close
Outlook and copy their PST(s) to a suitable network drive where they can be
backed up. PFBACKUP works well in aiding this process.
