Archiving Inbox?

Windows XP (Latest Service Pack)
Outlook 2002

I setup Archiving (to PST), but my Inbox does not archive - all other
folders work as there supposed to...

Is this designed behavior?

Your help is appreciated.
 
It's by design. You can't archive your inbox. Move items to another folder and archive.
