archiving emails simultaneously

Hi there,

I'm a newbie concerning outlook - so please appologize for my question:

How can I archive/save emails simultaneously on my Desktop(local Disc)
and in the same time the same email storing on another disk as Backup.
What is the simplest way to solve this problem.

And being a newbie learn to crosspost and not multipost, which is what you
have done.

Nan,

Don't think this is possible. When Outlook opens the file to write to
it, it opens it exclusively, which means no other application can read
the file while Outlook is open. Your best bet is to get a
synchronization program and then configure it to sync the file once you
have closed Outlook.
